Jane Bennett joined the BSI staff as Executive Vice President in June of 2009 bringing diverse experience from previous tourism, manufacturing, marketing and promotional employment. Jane was introduced to the natural stone industry through seven years of employment with BSI member company Champlain Stone, Ltd. It was there that she developed a real passion for stone. As head of Champlain Stone’s Corporate Media Relations team, Jane traveled the country meeting homeowners, retailers, designers, and installers whose shared experiences of natural stone have provided the ideal resource for her interest and understanding of the industry.  As a frequent attendee at BSI events over those years, Jane came to understand the expectations and needs of members, and has applied that experience to the development of current BSI member programs, services and benefits to better sustain and grow membership.

Through three years of BSI Editorial Committee service to Building Stone magazine, Jane cultivated strong relationships with BSI members; members of other industry groups; domestic and international stone producers; and various media outlets, including BNP Media and Stone World magazine publishing team who now produce our magazine. Together with the BNP Media group, Jane remains committed to strengthening and broadening the magazine’s awareness and educational components for both members and our target audience.

Jane serves as Secretary of the Executive Board of Directors for the Natural Stone Council and continues to advocate the need and opportunities for increased partnership between the many unique natural stone industry associations for the greater good of the industry.
