"The BSI staff has worked to provide exciting educational experiences for our attendees. We will learn about conflict resolution, advancing masonry through local building codes, family business succession planning, educating architects, and a program designed to give us all a better understanding of LEEDS, sustainability and how a stone standard can benefit our industry. The convention’s educational theme continues with a visit to Sepulveda’s stone yard and exposure to the inventory control system that has branded Sepulveda as an industry leader. This visit alone is worth the cost of attendance." – Rob Teel, BSI 2011 Vice President and 2012 Convention Chair, Continental Cut Stone

About BSI's Annual Conventions
Building Stone Institute provides numerous opportunities throughout the year for member firms to receive educational opportunities. The two largest events are the Annual Convention and the Study Tour. The Annual Convention features business meetings, committee meetings, and classroom based presentations. BSI strives to prepare and present education on the most relevant topics concerning our members and the industry.  Professional speakers, technical experts, design associates and even our own members provide valuable awareness and resources in a convenient and relaxing environment.

Ask a member and you are likely to hear that networking at BSI events is one of the most important benefits of membership. BSI builds plenty of networking fun into our annual convention, including a light-hearted team challenge that provides character building skills while getting to know each other better.

Recent conventions have taken BSI members to San Antonio, Puerto Rico, San Diego, Las Vegas, Austin, and Charleston. See photos of some of these events as well as video highlights from Austin and Charleston’s educational presentations.

Wow, what a beautiful magazine. The pictures are gorgeous and I really like the font you used for the print, very easy to read. Congratulations on a first class publication, architects should really enjoy it.
