Designer Education Series (DES)
Building Stone Institute’s most valuable benefit is our status as a continuing education provider to architects, landscape architects and other industry associates. Registered with the AIA, BSI’s DES programs cover every aspect of the natural stone industry and range from 1 hour, member hosted courses, to full-day, multi-credit events. BS assists in developing member’s own DES programs and handles all AIA credit filing for the member instructors. Use of this complimentary BSI member benefit eliminates the need for pursuing individual AIA provider status – a savings nearly equal the cost of the member’s BSI membership dues!

Building Stone Institute’s annual member directory is now a combined publication with our annual Buyers’ Guide. This source of natural stone knowledge, information, products and services is distributed to all Building Stone Magazine recipients, BSI members and is globally accessible online. All BSI members receive a free basic listing, but enhanced listings and both print and online advertising options are available for premium positioning.
Tucker Design Awards & Bybee Prize
A highly regarded and prestigious architectural award, the Tucker Design Awards honors those who have achieved excellence in the use of natural stone in their building or landscape design. This biennial awards event traditionally includes an inspiring architectural tour held the day before the event highlighting the host cities most revered and enduring stone structures. The Bybee Prize is presented to an individual architect or landscape architect for a body of work executed over time that is distinguished by outstanding design and use of natural stone.

MCAA Membership Discount Program
MCAA will extend full membership rights to non mason contractor/installer BSI members at a 50% discount within one of these two member levels.
National Associate Membership is for masonry industry suppliers who do business regionally or nationally. $1,000 annual dues (a $2,000 value)
Regional Associate Membership is for masonry industry suppliers that have an operating business radius between 250 – 1000 miles and have two or more plants. $ 450 annual dues (a $950 value)
